First winery
This winery is located on the hills of Carmignano and within short distance from Florence. This boutique winery has been run by the same family since 1920 and carries on an important historical legacy. What makes this estate even more interesting is the fact that Leonardo da Vinci's grandmother lived here, that is why this is also the place where the artist spent his childhood. The winery employs fully natural, biodynamic techniques, as its vintners cherish the human-nature interaction. Apart from wine, they also produce olive oil. At this beautiful estate, you will tour the property, its vineyards and wine cellars. The tour will finish with a wine and olive oil tasting.
Second winery
Family-run winery, with a long-lasting tradition. It is one of the oldest Tuscan wineries, producing wine since 804 AD. Its existence is attested by a lease contract dating back 1200 years ago. Since old times the estate was known for growing olive trees and vine for the production of oil and wine. It boasts an impressive wine collection of vintages since 1925. At this property you will tour the surroundings and taste award-winning wines. The family also prides itself with their cooking school and restaurant, which welcomed chefs of high caliber in order to improve their dishes. Apart from tasting wine and oil, you will enjoy a consistent lunch with carefully selected typical products.
